I experienced an epiphany and decided to change the title of this entire project to REVIVAL WRITING.
The reasons are many, but the main thing is that there is a renewed hunger out there for the transcendent, something higher than humans and their obsessions with accidentals like race and gender. I sense a renaissance approaching, a turning toward the heights that can only be reached through faith and the practice of virtue. This may sound high-minded and maybe even old-fashioned, but is not only old but also new. There can be both a turning back and a looking forward; we call this the present. Without the past, there can be no future. It is high time to sluff of the nonsense of the contemporary scene and focus on higher things. Together we can release writing from the muck of narcissism and return it to the realm of art.
To quote Nietzsche (who got some things right):
“Of all that is written, I love only that which is written in blood, Write with blood, and you will find blood is spirit.”
Come, let us write in blood in our search for the Spirit!
